Single Touch Payroll

Single Touch Payroll (STP) is becoming mandatory for all employers from 1 July 2019. Single Touch Payroll is a new, streamlined version of reporting information to the ATO.

Callaghans has partnered with Xero to provide a single touch payroll solution to small and medium businesses. This software enables businesses to simply and efficiently process their payroll through this new system, in addition to resources walking businesses through the STP system, which can be found here.

Existing Xero users with subscriptions with access to the current payroll feature will have the STP system added free of charge, while businesses using desktop based programs, will need to find a STP provider.

Xero’s services in this area start as low as $10 a month for businesses with 4 or less employees. For businesses with more than five users plans start from $65. These solutions can be used in tandem with your current accounting software, so you don’t need to change from your current software provider.
